Nightingale Hospital admissions
Dear Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust,
What are the criteria for admitting patients to the North West NHS Nightingale hospital, at Manchester Central, which MFT is operating?
If there is a document laying out the criteria/clinical model being used, please provide it.
Yours faithfully,
Michael Gaffney

Dear Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust's handling of my FOI request 'Nightingale Hospital admissions'.
I submitted this request on 13th May 2020, meaning as of today it is now 58 days since submission.
You will be aware that the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (Section 10) requires that requests for information should be complied with promptly, and at the very least within 20 working days, a timescale we are now far beyond.
I appreciate that you and your colleagues will have been working under difficult conditions in recent weeks and months, and these unprecedented circumstances are recognised by the latest guidance from the Information Commissioner's Office on FOI work during the pandemic. However, that same guidance also recognises the importance of 'matters of serious public concern', and in particular 'the compelling public interest in the current health emergency'.
There is a clear public interest in my FOI request, namely judging the efficacy of the North West NHS Nightingale hospital as part of the UK's response to the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The question of how, when and under what circumstances patients were admitted to Nightingale North West is key to making that judgement, hence my request for the criteria for admission and any related documentation/clinical model.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/n...
Yours faithfully,
Michael Gaffney
