NHS Trust Non-Pharmaceutical Product Supply Chain Arrangements
Dear Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust,
Following a recent Health Service Journal Article on ICS-level warehousing and logistics facilities, I would be grateful if you could confirm whether your Trust is a partner of an ICS-level, combined warehousing and logistics capability (Yes/No).
Please confirm the annual value and volume of non-pharmaceutical healthcare products delivered to the Trust, broken down by supply route:
• NHS Supply Chain delivered
• Via an ICS/ICB-wide Warehouse facility (if any)
• Direct from Suppliers (ordered through NHS Supply Chain: eDirect)
• Direct from Suppliers (ordered via an NHS Supply Chain contract or Framework)
• Direct from Suppliers (ordered via other Contract / framework)
Please confirm:
• Square Footage of the Trust’s goods receiving facility and stores facility (if separate)
• Number of staff (FTEs) operating in the goods receiving facility and stores facility
• Details of the frequency of deliveries to the Trust, including overall operating hours of the goods receiving and storage function
• Does the Trust have the ability to receive goods “out of hours” (Yes/No)?
Yours faithfully,
Reginald Space

Dear Mr. Wilson (KINGSTON HOSPITAL NHS FOUNDATION TRUST),
Many thanks for your response: the only clarification I have is in relation to the associated annual volumes of products for "Direct from Supplier" and "NHS Supply Chain" where you have provided the annual spend figures. I would be most grateful if you would provide these two annual volume figures.
Yours sincerely,
Reginald Space
Dear Mr Space
Thank you for your email. I have asked our procurement service to provide more detail as requested.
Best wishes

Dear Mr Space
I have asked South West London Procurement, who provide our procurement service, if they can provide more information about the volume of goods. Unfortunately they are unable to easily generate this information - doing so would take considerably longer than the eighteen hour limit. If I can be of further assistance please let me know.
Regards and best wishes
Matthew
