After completing a search of our records, I regret to inform you that NHS
National Services Scotland do not hold the information that you have
requested and have applied s17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland)
Act to your request.  The reason for this is that no letters were issued
to remind patients to book vaccination appointments.  In Scotland, the
appointment system allocates appointments and provides patients with the
opportunity to re-schedule or opt out as they wish.  Unpaid carers were
invited to register but this invitation was not sent out in letter format.

In relation to your second question, NHS NSS have information on
scheduling appointments.  The National Clinical Data Store, operated by
NHs Education for Scotland, holds the records of all patients who have
received the vaccine, together with Public Health Scotland.  NHS Education
for Scotland or Public Health Scotland should be approached for this
information.
