Dear South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust,

Under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I am writing to request all plans held by the Ambulance Service of live play exercises involving NHS funded organisations in accordance with the NHS England Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response Framework in the past five years.

Given the sensitive nature of some of this information, I ask you to redact any exempt information instead of refusing disclosure. This would be in accordance with guidance on best practice from the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Yours faithfully

William Wetherell

FOI, South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust

Good afternoon,

South Central Ambulance Service doesn't hold any plans for live exercises. We have a number of Operational response plans that are tested regularly at Live and Table Top exercises. None of these plans are specific to any live exercises. Each plan is generic to deal with a number of scenarios. These plans are protectively marked at "Official Sensitive" due to the nature of the information that they hold around the way the trust would respond to an incident. It would not be possible to redact that information in the plans as this would make them unreadable and completely out of context. We would recommend that you look at the JESIP website www.jesip.org.uk as all plans work to these principles.

We hope this information meets your requirements but if you are unhappy with the way your request for information has been handled, you can request a review by writing to: Will Hancock, Chief Executive, South Central Ambulance Service NHS Trust, Units 7 & 8 Talisman Business Centre, Talisman Road, Bicester, Oxon, OX26 6HR.

If you remain dissatisfied with the handling of your request or complaint, you have a right to appeal to the Information Commissioner at: The Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF. Telephone 0303 123 1113 Website https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/offi...
