· Who is responsible for the management of the service?

Under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000 NHSBT is obliged to:
o Let you know whether we hold the information you have requested
o Provide you with the requested information, if held, (subject to any
exemptions under the Act which may apply).
NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is a Special Health Authority reporting
to the Department of Health and Social Care. Its remit includes the
provision of a reliable, efficient supply of blood and associated services
to the NHS in England. It is also the organ donor organisation for the
whole of the UK and is responsible for matching and allocating donated
organs.
If you seek information from the Welsh, Scottish or Northern Irish Blood
Services you are required to contact them directly.
I can confirm that NHSBT holds the information you have requested.
1. Our HR records show that on the 31st July 2021 we had a 6422 headcount
with 5153.77 Whole Time Equivalents.

7. Sickness absence referrals, immunisation services, needle stick 24
hours help line, pre-employment health assessments, Ill health
Retirement, Physiotherapy.

10. The tender documentation was accessible to invited bidders on the 22nd
July 2021 with submissions requested by the deadline of the 12th
August 2021.
11. The tender process will utilise the CCS framework reference RM6182
Occupational Health, Employee Assistance Programmes and Eye Care
Services – Lot 2. Only the 6 listed/approved suppliers will be invited
to the framework further competition.
12. The only notice that will be issued will be the Framework Agreement
award notice which will be placed in Contracts Finder – this has to be
published within 30 days of contract award which is scheduled for the
11th October 2021 therefore no later than 10th November 2021.
13. The conclusion of the Framework Agreement award notice will be
published in Contracts Finder as per legislation and in compliance
with Regulation 50 of the Public Contracts Regulation 2015.
