NFSP Correspondence regarding Horizon issues.

andrea west made this Freedom of Information request to Post Office Limited This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was successful.

Dear Post Office Limited,

In recent media interviews the current CEO of the National Federation of Sub-Postmasters has indicated that the NFSP did not support the former CEO's view that the NFSP considered the horizon system to be robust. During the recent litigation one of Post Offices defences was that the NFSP backed Post Office in claiming that horizon was indeed robust.

So with this in mind may i have sight of all correspondence from the NFSP to Post Office Ltd redacted where needs be showing when the NFSP made Post Office Ltd aware the NFSP no longer believed the Horizon system to be robust

Yours faithfully,

andrea west

Dear Information Rights Team,

Please supply any correspondence from Mr Calum Greenhow the current CEO of the NFSP from Jan 1st 2018 to 15th Dec 2019 raising concerns about the robustness of the Horizon system. A simple sweep of your server systems and a search of any hard copies held in correspondence should only take minutes to achieve this. Considering the claim the NFSP fully supported your position it should not take that long to check for any correspondence retracting this support. If however redacting this information will take up to the 18 hours, can you please in the first instance can you confirm the number of correspondences received and time permitting the dates received.

Yours sincerely,

Andrea west

Dear Information Rights Team,

Would you kindly confirm when i can expect a reply to this

Dear Information Rights Team,

Your response states "having checked our email servers with the criteria you provided Post Office does not hold the information you provided". Does this also include hard copies? Also would you kindly clarify that if the criteria was different or the request rephrased there would be correspondence in some format from Mr Greenhow raising any concerns about the robustness or reliability of the Horizon system. In the recent court case Bates Vs Post Office ltd it was stated that the NFSP fully supported the Post Office's position so did Post Office ltd receive any correspondence at all challenging this position you put before the court

Yours sincerely,

andrea west

Dear Information Rights Team,

Still await your clarification

Dear Ms West,

Please accept my apologies the delay as your first email was overlooked due the amount of correspondence we are receiving, as advised we have checked our email system for the period, and I can advise that all emails were reviewed for any concerns raised over Horizon. I am checking with likely staff members who would have received posted correspondence and will get back to you by Friday 06 October 2020 with the findings.
