Dear Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'New website'.

Please note points 3 and 4 asked for specific costs in terms of the development cost for the new website/CRM and ongoing costs. Providing a website URL and an available month of January 2017 is not acceptable as it does not answer the specific questions raised within the FOI request.

I look forward to a more concise and detailed response.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/n...

Dear Dr Parker,

I refer to your request for an internal review to be carried out into the
response you received to FOI 4145 under the Freedom of Information Act
2000.

Under the Act, Trafford Council has a duty to supply any information upon
request, unless there is an exemption. It is the Council’s policy only to
apply the exemptions where there is a genuine risk of harm or prejudice.
In such cases, we will still provide information if it is in the public
interest to do so.

Under Section 22 of the Freedom of Information Act, we are not obliged to
provide information that is intended for future publication. The
information you requested in questions 3 and 4 of your original request is
intended for future publication and will be to published no later than
close of play 31^st January 2017. The web address or link provided in our
original FOI response will allow you to access this information when it is
publication.

In line with the terms of this exemption in the Freedom of Information
Act, we have also considered whether it would be in the public interest
for us to provide you with the information ahead of publication, despite
the exemption being applicable. In this case, we have concluded that the
public interest favours withholding the information and therefore we agree
with the original response issued to you.

If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have
the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a
decision. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at: Information
Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9
5AF.

Kind regards,

Dear Dr Parker,

Further to your email below, I provide further detail in response to
questions 3 and 4 as part of FOI 4145.

3. What was the total development cost for the new website?

The website you refer to in FOI 4145 forms a part of the Council’s new CRM
system. The CRM project is not complete so we cannot provide you with the
final development costs for this project. Furthermore, the costs of the
“mytrafford” website are not itemised as part of the overall CRM project.
The estimated costs to date of the overall CRM project are available by
following the URL link previously provided to the transparency contract
register. However, I have filtered and attached a section of the relevant
part of the register for ease of reference.

4. What are the ongoing costs for the new website in terms of updates,
technical changes and technical support?

To date, there are zero costs in terms of updates, technical changes and
technical support as the CRM project is not complete.

Although the ICO provided a case reference number FS50663623 on 01/02/17,
to date we have not received any further instruction from them.

Regards,

Paul Fox , Information Governance Manager
