Dear Ms Ward
Thank you for your email of 14 October asking for information about speed
cameras.
We’ve been introducing new average speed cameras across London as part of
a four part trial project. The roads included within this trial are the
A40, A406, A316 and A2.
We’ve been introducing the cameras sequentially, and the A2 will be the
final location in the trial to go live. Delays to completion of the A316
installation have caused knock on delays to the A2 project.
Currently, the most recent forecast date for the activation of the average
speed cameras on the A2 is November 2016.
As this is only an estimated date, I'd advise you to check our website for
updates on the project by visiting:

Please be assured that clear signage will be installed in advance of the
cameras going live to ensure that all road users are aware of their
operation.
Thanks for contacting us. If there’s anything else we can help you with,
please reply to this email. Alternatively, you can speak to one of our
Customer Service Advisers on 0343 222 1234 who’ll be happy to help.
Kind regards
