Dear Halton Borough Council,
I'm requesting if you could supply me with the name of the bank or other company that HBC intends to borrow £20m from to fund the costs of the new leisure centre in Widnes.
Also what are the plans for the kingsway site once it is closed including if any plans for the old police station and Brossely house.
Thank you for your enquiry. The enquiry has been logged on our FOI tracking system and is being dealt with.
The case number is shown in the subject line of the e-mail.

Dear Mr Stapleton, further to your request under the Freedom of
Information Act, on behalf of the Council, my response is below:
Regarding borrowing for the development of a new leisure centre, the
Council borrows from the Public Works Loans Board. The financing for this
project will be considered as part of the total financing required for the
Council’s overall capital programme.
There are no agreed plans at the moment for the Kingsway site. The
priority is to develop the new leisure facility at Moor Lane which will
then allow us to remove the old leisure centre building, thereby freeing
up further land for development. There are also tenants still in Broseley
House to consider.
I hope this helps.
