New Law Firm used by Post Office ltd

The request was partially successful.

Dear UK Government Investments Limited,. UKGI provided the Secretary
of State with an update on the current state of the
litigation on 12 April 2019, including the fact that
following intervention by the Chair and the Shareholder
NED, the Post Office had refreshed its legal team
[whatever that means] including internally reorganising
its legal team and replacing its general counsel and
employing a new firm of solicitors, HSF, to revisit the
approach to the litigation."What documents did POL supply you to show HSF had not been involved with POL before and was indeed a new firm being used?

Yours faithfully,

Dear Freedom of Information,Thank you for a reply. Are you saying that without checking if the Post Office had indeed employed a new Law Firm and appointed a new head of Legal you accepted this at face value and further repeated it as proof of cultural change to a Statutory Inquiry set up to Investigate amongst other things Post Office deception and a lack of Government oversight?HSF first worked for POL in 2017 and Ben Foat joined its Legal team which he went on to head in 2015.Do you have any documents that show requests for assurance or proof of such important statements from POL?

Yours sincerely,

john o'sullivan
