New Carrington Allocation Development Parcels
Dear Trafford Council
The New Carrington Masterplan sets out (at paragraph 5.6) a number of Development Parcels for Housing and Employment Space. I have tried to look these up on Trafford's Planning Portal but there does not seem to be consistency in descriptions/figures, etc.
Please can you, therefore, confirm the following for each development parcel (it would be helpful to receive these figures in an excel spreadsheet):
Confirmation of Developable Area and Unit Number/Footprint (what is written in the Masterplan and any changes, if appropriate)
Planning Application Number (if an application has already been submitted)
Whether the relevant Planning Application is approved, pending or declined
If approved, whether development is pending, ongoing, completed
If the Parcel Numbers need to be split further, please just explain in the spreadsheet so I understand what has already come forward and what is still outstanding.
Yours faithfully,
Lorraine Eagling

Good morning
Further to your FOI request, please see below.
The New Carrington Masterplan identifies high level development parcels
for the allocation. These are indicative and have been used to inform the
overall development quantum on the site, taking into account existing site
constraints etc. Further masterplanning will be required for the New
Carrington allocation which may lead to changes to the development
parcels. The preparation of a detailed Masterplan is a requirement of
Places for Everyone, Policy JP-A 33.
The developable area and development numbers are as set out in the New
Carrington Masterplan, Pg 64 Section 5.6.
[1]https://www.greatermanchester-ca.gov.uk/...
These parcels are indicative and there is no expectation that each parcel
will correlate to a planning application. It is likely that as the
development proposals are refined then different parcels will be
identified within the New Carrington ‘developable area’ or a planning
application may relate to a smaller area within a wider development
parcel.
Information on the latest planning applications is available on Council’s
planning application search – including the option to search on a map -

There is also a summary of the planning applications within the New
Carrington allocation boundary at 2021 in the New Carrington Topic Paper:
