Thank you for your email which was received by the University on 21 October 2011 timed 
09:56 hours, requesting the following information: 
 
 
“I believe Eleanor Waugh and James Brown have been appointed to positions within 
the Student Lifecycle ( MyCamus) Support Team. In relation to their new appointments 
please supply the following information: 
      
     Post titles and grades. 
      
     When were these posts advertised and where? 
      
     The composition of the interview panel. 
      
     Job descriptions. 
      
     Date of appointments.”

Post titles, grades and job descriptions 
The post title is Functional Lead and this was assessed at Management, Professional and 
Administrative Grade 8.  The job description for the role of Functional Lead has previously 
been released and is available as Appendix 5 at the following link:

Though the University of Glasgow does hold the information that you have requested, the 
information is exempt under section 25 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, as

When were these posts advertised and where? 
These posts were advertised by email on 23rd June 2011 to members of the Student Lifecycle 
Project Team who held University posts.  
 
The composition of the interview panel. 
The interview panel consisted of Christine Lowther, Student Lifecycle Project Director and 
Director of Student Services and Lesley Cummings, Human Resources Manager.   This was a 
confirmatory interview following application.  It should be noted that both staff members 
underwent a formal selection process when appointed to their seconded roles at the outset of 
the project. 
 
Date of appointments.   
These appointments to the Student Lifecycle Support and Development Team were effective 
from 1/10/2011. 
 
The supply of documents under the terms of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 
does not give the applicant or whoever receives the information any right to re-use it in such a 
way that might infringe the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (for example, by making 
multiple copies, publishing or otherwise distributing the information to other individuals and the 
public). The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (Consequential Modifications) Order 
2004 ensured that Section 50 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (“CDPA”) 
applies to the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (“FOISA”).   
 
Breach of copyright law is an actionable offence and the University expressly reserves its 
rights and remedies available to it pursuant to the CDPA and common law. Further information
