• Please can you direct me to the authority's current IT Network strategy?
• What does the council currently use for their Networks (Wifi/LAN/SD-WAN)?
• Who are you currently working with for your Networks?
• When does that contract come up to an end?
• What does the council consider most important when reviewing their Network Strategy?
• Who is the best contact around this area?

No Strategy document exists. We have a Network Security Policy but not a
Strategy document.

 

• What does the council currently use for their Networks
(Wifi/LAN/SD-WAN)?

WAN - Private circuits, own fibre, Wireless radio, broadband / vpn.

LAN - Cisco switches and routers

Cisco WiFi

 

• Who are you currently working with for your Networks?

BT

 

• When does that contract come up to an end?

September 2025 (option of a 1 year extension)

 

• What does the council consider most important when reviewing their
Network Strategy?

Value for money

 

• Who is the best contact around this area?
