Wales website, which has the most up to data stats on the health of the
population in Wales.

I can check and provide you with any needle stick injuries that any Public
Health Wales staff has received if you so request, can you please confirm
this.

John Morley (Public Health Wales), Public Health Wales

Dear Miss Claire

In regard to your request for information to Public Health Wales.

Dear Public Health Wales NHS Trust,

Please may I request any information you have on the number of

needle stick injuries to Health Workers (over the last 12months)

across NHS Wales and the medical device causing the injury. If

possible I would also like to know how many of these injuries were

'high risk' and resulted in tranmission of a blood borne infection

i.e hep B/Hep C/HIV. If possible I would also like to know how many

of these injuries were 'high risk' resulting in PEP treatment.

Public Health Wales does not hold all Wales information on these
incidents, they would be held by the 7 individual Health Boards in Wales,
who contact details con be found on the Health in Wales website  -
[1]http://www.wales.nhs.uk/ourservices/dire... .

I however can provide details of any needlestick injuries to Public Health
Wales staff, though we do not have many staff who use needles as our
contact with the public is extremely limited.  Please can you confirm if
you require this information.

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your
