JOHN WILLIAMS made this Freedom of Information request to The Robert Gordon University

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was partially successful.

Dear The Robert Gordon University,

Please supply me with the following information relating to an International Study Centre which I believe you operate in
partnership with Navitas for each published
intake since you started until September 2014.

The numbers of students for undergraduate and postgraduate study that started for each intake

The number of students that left before completion of
the course for each intake

The number of students that progressed from the Centre to the
University for each intake
I have checked in advance with the Information Commissioners and there is no valid reason for you to deny supplying this information, such as:
Competitive Disadvantage
Whatever the terms of your agreement the students are studying on your campus and so you MUST have the numbers
Or any other excuse
Thanks for your help

Yours faithfully,

JOHN WILLIAMS

Dear The Robert Gordon University,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of The Robert Gordon University's handling of my FOI request 'Navitas'.

You responded by stating that - In the case of Questions 1 and 2 these should be referred to ’International College at Robert Gordon University Ltd (ICRGU)’, as it will hold this data. Please note however, that Navitas is a Limited Company, and not a Public authority as defined by the FOI or FOISA Acts: there is therefore, no legal requirement for them to respond to requests for information such as these.

This maybe true but legally you are obliged to know the numbers of students that study in your campus at any time and so you will have this information.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/n...

Yours faithfully,

JOHN WILLIAMS
