Please can you provide information or recent briefings to TfL Staff relating to the entilements of National Rail Staff (TOC Staff) using the Rail Staff Leisure Card and their discounts, including information around setting these discounts on an Oyster Card, redacted if necessary.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of

The latest information on NR Rail Staff Leisure Cards contained in
guidance provided to LU staff on discount setting is attached.
Staff briefing notice 198 on Fare Revisions was sent to MTR by TfL Rail
and included the following information:
“The ‘Priv NR only’ discount was added to the range of discounts that can
be set by staff at ticket machines on 18 July 2021.
The discount applies to NR staff who started employment on or after 1
April 1996 and hold a Rail Staff Leisure Card, their spouse/partner and
dependants. The discount should be set by staff on TVMs at London
Overground and TfL Rail stations.
It is currently not possible for different discounts to appear on
different devices so the discount will also be added to AFMs and MFMs at
all LU stations. Staff should not set this discount on AFMs and MFMs. LU
have issued separate staff instructions accordingly – see Hot Issues
Bulletin Issue No. 27-21 and 28-21”.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable
to access it for some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
