Dear NHS Wales Informatics Service,

Please can you confirm that this the complete text of the plan? Both the title and contents of the document would strongly imply that you've provided only 'Table 2', extracted from the plan itself. I don't believe that you should have to treat this as a request for internal review, but you are welcome to do so.

Please you can you let me know if the plan was agreed or not at the April meeting, per my original request.

Thank you for your advice regarding the holding of the master copy. This advice is gratefully received.

Yours faithfully,

Emma Knowles

Dear NHS Wales Informatics Service,

Following a separate request elsewhere, it has been clarified that there may be some confusion between the one-year and three-year plans.

My request was regarding the full-text of the one-year plan - and that is how it should be interpreted - but you are also welcome to provide any versions of the three-year plan.

Dear NHS Wales Informatics Service,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews (Darren Lloyd, Head of Information Governance).

I am writing to request an internal review of NHS Wales Informatics Service's handling of my FOI request 'National Informatics Plan'.

On the 22nd May, I wrote to the NHS Informatics Service asking for a copy of the first National Informatics Plan and for clarification whether it was indeed agreed or not at the April 2018 NIMB Meeting.

It appears that I've only received part of the plan (Table 2) without any explanation as to why the rest of the plan is missing, and without any information about whether it was agreed or not.

Asking "Please can you confirm that this the complete text of the plan?" and whether it was agreed or not resulted in the brief response "At the time of the original request we did not hold this information." which I'm struggling to make sense of.

I'd be grateful if, as part of your review, you could clearly answer 1) whether I was provided with a full copy of the plan asked for in my original request, and 2) whether it was agreed at the April 2018 NIMB meeting as asked for my in my original request.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/n...

Dear Emma

Thank you for your request for an internal review. I have referred your
request.

Hopefully I can still be of help with the below

1.        Informatics Plan: We have been made aware that a similar request
has been received by Welsh Government and will be considered for
disclosure by them. The copies we had in our possession at the time of the
request were those to be agreed at the NIMB meeting – bearing in mind that
the plan was generated outside of NWIS and details informatics services in
Wales (not just for NWIS). If you are the requestor of this information
and you received a copy off them, are you content with this?

2.        NWIS internal plans: The NWIS 3 year and 1 year plan is due for
future publication. There are some updates being made to these. I can
forward these to you when these are available (possibly later this week)
if this helps.

Best Wishes
Andrew

Hello Andrew,

Thank you for response. The Welsh Government response to a similar request has provided a copy of the full plan, and I'm happy with this. I'm happy to withdraw my request for a review under the circumstances.

I would be grateful if you could pass on the updated 3 and 1 year 'NWIS internal plans', as you suggest, when this is possible.

I also appreciate that it's not entirely convenient having me reply to this email address, and this may be making communication more difficult. Unfortunately, this is how WhatDoTheyKnow works.

Hi Emma

No problem at all. Happy to help.

The NWIS three year plan is now available. This will be published on the
NWIS website. I attach a copy of this for your convenience.

The NWIS one year plan is not yet finalised, but I am assured that it will
be available soon. This will also be published.

I hope this helps. I will forward the one year plan when this has been
signed off by Welsh Government.

Best Wishes
Andrew
