ACCOUNT, Unmonitored, Standards and Testing Agency

Dear R. Hutchcraft,

Ref: 2018-0009425

Thank you for your freedom of information request, which was received on
20 February 2018.

You asked:

In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act (2000), I would like to
find out who oversees the archive of the National Curriculum Tests for Key
Stages 1, 2 and 3 (including those from the previous curriculums) and who
I can contact regarding accessing the archive.

Your request has been forwarded to the National Pupil Database (NPD) team.
I have dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000
(“the Act”) and have answered your question as follows:

There is no archive of the National Curriculum Tests for Key Stages 1, 2
and 3 at the Department of Education. However, the Department believes
you may be referring to the National Pupil Database (NPD), which is a
repository that includes current and historic pupil-level attainment,
including that at Key Stages 1, 2 and 3.

Details of the datasets and data items available from the NPD, and how to
request data extracts, is available from the NPD website:
[1]https://www.gov.uk/government/collection... .

If you are unhappy with the way your request has been handled, you should
make a complaint to the Department by writing to me within two calendar
months of the date of this correspondence.  Your complaint will be
considered by an independent review panel, who were not involved in the
original consideration of your request.

If you are not content with the outcome of your complaint to the
Department, you may then contact the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Yours sincerely,

Martin Johnson

Department for Education
