Dear Ms Jeffery,

I refer to your email that is on line here:

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/n...

My initial email was not question but rather a request for information. Albeit not stated, the request fell under the provisions of the Environmental Information Regulations and you have not provided the information requested.
I would be grateful for your review of the response.

Further, I note that an age limit of 3 years is not now to be applied? Is some other age limit to be applied? If so, what is that age limit?

Yours sincerely,

Dr Paul Thornton

QUESTION:-

Environmental Information Regulations  and you have not provided the
information requested.

I would be grateful for your review of the response.

Further, I note that an age limit of 3 years  is not now to be applied?
Is some other age limit to be applied? If so, what is that age limit?

ANSWER:-

"The information you require is shown in our Household Waste Collection
Policy as noted below:

11B.  Nappy Collection

11B.1 The Council shall provide a free collection of offensive
non-infectious nappy waste from eligible households.

11B.2 An eligible household is defined as a domestic property on Anglesey
paying standard domestic Council Tax, where a child under the age of 4
years permanently resides (the service is not available to holiday homes,
child minders, nurseries, temporary stays or from any location with a
commercial element involved). A child under 4 years of age may only be
registered for a separate collection of nappies from one single address on
Anglesey.

11B.3 Eligible households are required to make an application to the
Council for a nappy collection service using the standard application
form. It will be a requirement to provide details including the
applicant’s name, the child’s name, address and date of birth of the child
under 4 years of age who requires the separate nappy collection service.
Following an assessment, the Council will confirm with the applicant if
the separate nappy collection service application has been successful.

11B.4 The agreed collection point and frequency of collection of nappies
will be defined by the Council. A list of separate additional collection
dates will be provided by the Council to the eligible household indicating
when nappies can be put out for collection.

11B.5 The Council will supply dedicated sacks for the collection of
nappies – these are the only sacks that will be collected during any
scheduled collection (black bags or any other containers will not be
collected). Each eligible household shall be entitled to two full sacks of
nappies per child per scheduled collection. The nappy collection service
will operate on a sack exchange system, meaning if the eligible household
presents one sack of nappies, only one new sack will be given in exchange,
if two sacks are presented then two new sacks will be exchanged. If the
eligible household fails to present any sacks over a three scheduled
collections then the service will be terminated.

11B.6 The nappy collection service is for the collection of nappies only.
If material other than nappies is placed out for collection this will not
be collected and the service will be terminated. The nappies collected
must come from the eligible household and the child under 4 years of age
registered with the Council.

11B.7 The nappy collection service will end once the child reaches 4 years
of age. Further requests, such as if a medical condition exists etc, may
be considered by the Council as part of the offensive non-infectious
household waste collection service (such cases will be considered on a
case by case basis).”
