Named and Shamed by BEIS

The request was successful.

Dear Business Services Organisation (Northern Ireland),

Business Services Organisation (Northern Ireland) was recently included on a "Rogue Employers List" for its failure to pay the statutory minimum wage. The listing indicated arrears of £1,310 to 32 workers.

Please confirm (a) the amounts paid back to the 32 workers concerned, (b) the fines imposed and paid by the Trust in respect of the £1,310 arrears of pay and (c) the date(s) of receipt and payment of fine demands?

In addition please provide a copy of all communications received from the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) indicating BSO(NI) was to be included on a forthcoming Naming and Shaming List.

For your information I have included 2 links:

Dear FOI BSO,

My unanswered information request refers.

Whilst appreciating pressures arising as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic I would nonetheless question the need for delay, beyond the 20 working day limit set out by statute, particularly bearing in mind the specific time-limited scope of my request.

Whilst I await your responses I have taken the liberty of seeking similar information from the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

Yours sincerely,

Ed Ward-Robb
