Name change for Defra - how much?

The request was partially successful.

Captain Bryn Wayt

Dear Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs,

I would like to use the FoI Act 2000 to enquire how much the change of name from MAFF (2001) to Defra (mid 2001) and now to GOV.UK - I realise it covers three 'titles' but perhaps the fiscal details could be found ?

The old Defra website mentioned this:
The Defra website is moving to the GOV.UK single government website.
Most of our information has now been moved into GOV.UK and can be accessed at www.gov.uk/defra. This includes policy information, news, publications, consultations and statistics. Our existing addresses have, where practical, been redirected to the corresponding new address.
We expect to move remaining content from this site to GOV.UK by summer 2014.

In the meantime the following information is still available relating to specialist information, projects, campaigns and advisory and arm’s length bodies

======
May I ask please, what is an "arm's length body" ?

Yours faithfully,

Captain Bryn Wayt

Dear Helpline, Defra (CCU),

I note that DEFRA has breached the law, in that you have failed to answer my simple question within the statutory period of 20 days - there being no requirement for the 40 days to be served.

I request you respond, in full measure, to my FoI Act 2000 question without further delay.

Yours sincerely,

Captain Bryn Wayt

Dear Helpline, Defra (CCU),

You said in an automatic response dated the 10Jun2014, "We have a target of replying to emails within 15 working days, however, "

That "target" has been missed - would you care to try again for another "target" which might be achievable?

Yours sincerely,

Captain Bryn Wayt

Captain Bryn Wayt

Dear Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs's handling of my FOI request 'Name change for Defra - how much?'.

[ I asked how much it cost for the name changes that were undertaken with MAFF to DEFRA.
On the 10th Jun 2014 I was given the usual automatic response of "15 days" for the answer to be sent to me - this has come and gone and it's now 40 days and counting. I sent a reminder, only to be issued with another automatic rep sense stating "15 days" - this is not good enough because that would mean I've waited 55 days ! ]

Please have a look at what's happened.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/n...

Yours faithfully,

Captain Bryn Wayt
