Janice Brown Johnstone

Dear Royal Navy,

I would like to see the records held over the death of my Husband Chief Petty Officer Richard Brown. DOB: 30.06.1950. Richard was part of the crew of HMS Maxton where he was deployed in La Rochelle in France, on an exercise. Richard drowned and I was never given a full explanation nor did I receive a widows pension. There was much press coverage at the time and as you can imagine I was very distressed. the navy appointed my a councillor at the time and I still have all the documentation. I would like under the freedom of information at all the documentation relating to his death and the reasons why a Navy pension was not issue to me at the time.

Yours faithfully,

Janice Brown-Johnstone
