I would be very grateful if you will provide responses to the following questions with regards to the mutual charging arrangements in place for cross border assistance with Surrey Fire & Rescue Service

What is the cost to the LFB for Surrey FRS to respond to a call on behalf of or alongside LFB appliances in London (is this charge per appliance or per call)

What is the total cost per annum paid to Surrey FRS over the past five years for cross border assistance

What is the charge to the Surrey FRS for LFB to respond to a call on behalf of or alongside Surrey FRS appliances in Surrey. (is this charge per appliance or per call)

What is the total income per annum received by the LFB over the past five years for cross border assistance with Surrey FRS

How many calls per annum over the past five years have Surrey FRS been paid to attend calls in London

How many calls per annum over the past five years have the LFB been paid to attend calls in Surrey

exchanges between the London Fire Brigade (LFB) and Surrey Fire & Rescue
Service.

 

In response, please see the information as set out in turn below. Note our
mutual assistance charging policy between Surrey FRS and LFB did not come
into effect until 1^st April 2014. 

1.      What is the cost to the LFB for Surrey FRS to respond to a call on
behalf of or alongside LFB appliances in London (is this charge per
appliance or per call)

 

Current charge is £328 per appliance per hour (or part of) including VAT.

 

2.      What is the total cost per annum paid to Surrey FRS over the past
five years for cross border assistance 

3.      How many calls per annum over the past five years have the LFB
been paid to attend calls in Surrey

4.      How many calls per annum over the past five years have Surrey FRS
been paid to attend calls in London

5.      What is the total income per annum received by the LFB over the
past five years for cross border assistance with Surrey FRS
