Dear James Kelsall,
Thank you for your Freedom of Information (FoI) request received on 27 November. You 
wrote:
“Work Capability Assessment appointments are recorded on the Medical Services 
Referral System (MSRS).
One data point recorded in relation to these appointments is a field titled "Scheduling 
Method". In relation only to this field, I would appreciate it if you could provide any 
records which relate to the following:
- The type of data field (e.g. is it a field with a limited set of predefined options or is it a 
field in which users can freely enter text).
- If the entry options are predefined, please provide a list of these options.
- If the field is an unrestricted text field, please provide any guidance which exists which 
informs MSRS users what they should enter in this field.
Information relating to fields other than "Scheduling Method" is not required.”

We confirm that we hold the information you have requested.
The data in the scheduling method field is not entered manually by a user on MSRS, but is a 
predefined list of values, which are:
• No contact
• Outbound
• Inbound
