We write further to your request for information under the Freedom of
Information Act received 6th June 2022.  We have set out your request,
together with our response below. 

Which Contrast media and volume is used for brain imaging within MRI and
is a power injector used for this?

Clariscan it is 0.2ml/kg only using injector for dynamic imaging

Which Contrast media and volume is used for Prostate within MRI and is a
power injector used for this?

Clariscan 20mls using an injector in all query Cancer

Which Contrast media and volume is used for Breast within MRI and is a
power injector used for this?

Clariscan 20mls using an injector in all query Cancer.

Which Contrast media and volume is used for Liver within MRI and is a
power injector used for this?

Depending the Radiologist vetting we use either:

Clariscan 20mls using an injector.

Multihance 10 mls using an injector.
Primovist 10 mls using an injector.

What Contrast media and volume is used for Gynaecological scans within MRI
and is a power injector used for this?

Clariscan 20mls using an injector depending on Radiologist vetting

Are you able to provide the number of neuro scans performed with contrast
media within MRI in 2021?

Total Neuro MRI scans with contrast: 6,428

Are you able to provide the number of Prostate scans performed with
contrast media within MRI in 2021 (MPLVPC, MPELVC)?

MPLVPC: 232

MPROSC: 710

Are you able to provide the number of breast scans performed with contrast
media within MRI in 2021?

Are you able to provide the annual figure of liver scans performed with
contrast media within MRI in 2021 (Codes MLIVEC, MLIVHC, MABDOC)?

Are you able to provide the annual figure of Gynaecological scans
performed with contrast media within MRI in 2021 (Code MPELVC)?
