Dear Staton Janet (ICT Services),
RE Your requested simplification of my FOI's.

Please inform me of the text or published research documents used in the training /college education / post graduate education etc., by your MRI staff to enable them to identify and distinguish brain damage caused by anti psychotic drugs from all other forms of brain damage. Please inform me of where this training took place.

Please would you also inform me how many times the MRI department at the QMC have been asked to identify brain damage caused by anti psychotic drugs since April 2006 , or if that is too expensive in 2011, and 2010 ?

Yours sincerely,

Dear Staton Janet (ICT Services),

thank you for your documents.

You appear to have confused the two FOI s I sent you. Please note that this Freedom of Information request specifically asks you to inform me how many times your MRI department has been asked to diagnose permanent brain damage caused by anti psychotic drugs since 2006.

I have also asked you to inform me where and what training your MRI clinicians have had in the permanent side effects of anti psychotic drugs, I presume from your refusal to supply this information that they have had no training of any kind.

Given this fact it is odd that they should feel themselves competent to diagnose this injury with such precision and certainty.

You appear to claim that it is the neurologist who had diagnosed the MRI scan, but the neurologist claims it is the MRI clinician, and bases hi9s authority on that fact.

Please would you inform me which is the case, and which is not the case ?

Please supply the information requested for both of these requests.
Please also supply an answer to my question regarding your claim that anti psychotic drugs cause no brain injuries of any kind. Why is it that Nottingham University trust hospitals disagree with all known a=facts concerning these drugs ?

Yours sincerely,

germaine gross

Staton Janet (ICT Services),

Dear Ms Gross

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) came into being on 1st
April 2006 and assumed responsibility for the services provided by both
the Queen's Medical Centre (QMC) and Nottingham City Hospital NHS Trust
(NCH).

You submitted a request for information to us on 24^th April 2012(Ref: NUH
8284 for which we responded on 11^TH May 20912. We received an email from
you on 11^th May 2011 submitting several more requests for information
relating to that response these being:

o Please would you inform me why it is your hospital appears to disagree
with the experts in these drugs employed by the NHS?

o Have you conducted any private research?

o What specific medical research and documents provide you with your
stated belief that anti psychotic drugs never cause any permanent
changes to the brain, permanent side effects, or brain damage?

To qualify under the Freedom of Information Act legislation your request
must be for recorded information held by a public authority i.e. not
knowledge, judgement, opinion or general advice we are therefore not able
to assist further with these enquiries.

We also received a request from you on 15^th May 2012 (Ref: FOI – 8515)
which we dealt with under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000
and provided a response on 25^th May 2012. We are now able to provide
responses for the elements of you’re your enquiry of 15th May for which we
have not yet replied in order to conclude our response.

You requested:

Please inform me how I might gain access to your accountancy records to
verify statements in reply to this request.

The FOI Act provides individuals with a legal right of access to
information and not to documents. It is often simple to provide
information by supplying a copy of relevant documents such as a copy of a
document which covers a single topic. However, some documents contain a
great deal of other information or information that may fall into other
access regimes e.g. Data Protection Act or contain exempt information.

The term ‘Accountancy records’ covers a wide variety of financial matters,
some of which might not be appropriate for disclosure under FOI and might
qualify for non-disclosure to the public under an exemption within the
Act. The Trust would therefore reasonably require further information from
you in terms of what it is that you want to know, in order to identify and
locate the exact information that you seek.

We will not be able to take this application further without clarification
as we are unable to determine what information is relevant to your
request, whether or not we hold the information within specific finance
records or elsewhere, whether or not it is disclosable under the Terms of
the Act or how long it will take to process (as it may exceed the time
limit) etc. We will not be able to take this matter further without
clarification from you.

If you are unhappy with the response you have received and wish to make an
appeal against our decision, you should write to

Information Governance Manager
