This request has been withdrawn by the person who made it. There may be an explanation in the correspondence below.

Dear Cranfield University,

I am writing to you to request information under the provisions of The Freedom of Information Act 2000. My questions are regarding the MRes/PhD programme in Ultra Precision:

1) What student feedback measures are in place? How are these collected? How does the collected feedback compare to comparable courses within the Engineering Department as a whole? What is the process for reviewing the feedback given?

2) What is the percentage of students who start the MRes programme but don't receive a degree? For the PhD programme? How many students pass the MRes programme but are not offered the opportunity to progress to the PhD? How does this compare to masters and PhD programmes within the Engineering Department as a whole?

3) Of those leaving the MRes and PhD programmes without a degree, what percentage did so as the decision of the respective students? How does this compare to the Engineering Department as a whole?

4) What is the average time taken between commencing a PhD and graduation from the programme? How does this compare to the Engineering Department as a whole?

5) What academic oversight is given to the course by University members not involved with the programme? For example, 'involved with' might mean individuals who have supervised students from the programme within the last five years.

6) What is the average number of supervised students at any one time among the core programme academic staff at Cranfield (https://www.cdt-up.eng.cam.ac.uk/directo... How does this compare to the Engineering Department as a whole?

7) What percentage of the students who have spent more than a year on the PhD programme have obtained a degree within three years? What time is allocated to each student on a weekly basis? How do these figures compare to the Engineering Department as a whole?

8) What percentage of students on the PhD programme have received additional stipend funding from Industrial partners? How does this compare to the programme targets?

9) What facilities are made available to students on the MRes programme? Are individual desks and computers provided during project work?

10) What is the correct complaints procedure for students on the programme regarding academic staff? How does the University handle these complaints?

I understand that you are required to respond to my request within the 20 working days after you receive this letter. I would be grateful if you could confirm via email that you have received this request. If any of this information is already in the public domain, please can you direct me to it, with page references and URLs if necessary?
