Dear Mrs Marrinan,

Freedom of Information request F20-540

Thank you for your request for information as copied below. You asked a
number of questions regarding catering venues and services in the House of
Commons, which we have sought to answer below.

Please note that our response only covers venues and services for which
the House of Commons is responsible.  MPs may access catering venues in
the House of Lords, which is a separate public authority in accordance
with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).  If you wish to request
information from the Lords, you should direct your request to
[1][email address].

 1. A full list of the catering venues or services in the House of Commons
which are accessible only by MPs.

Whilst the House of Commons holds this information, it is also already
publicly available on our website.  This information is exempt from
disclosure in accordance with section 21(1) and (2)(a) of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 (FOIA), which removes a public authority from the
obligation to provide access to information which is already in the public
domain.  This is an absolute exemption and the public interest test does
not apply.

However, it may help you to know that information relevant to your request
can be found here:
[2]https://www.parliament.uk/site-informati...
You will see that no venues are open exclusively for MPs.

 2. The full results of any feedback/ surveys completed in the past two
years concerning these venues or services.

And

 3. The menu and tariffs for any food and drinks offered by each of these
venues or services on 22 October 2020.

And

 4. The costs to the House of Commons of providing these services, for the
past two complete financial years.

This information is not held by the House of Commons, because no venue is
open exclusively for MPs.

It may help you to know that a significant amount of information including
price lists, sample menus, and costs, about all House of Commons Catering
venues, is available on our transparency pages here:
[3]https://www.parliament.uk/site-informati...

You may, if dissatisfied with the handling of your request, complain to
the House of Commons. Alternatively, if you are dissatisfied with the
outcome of your request you may ask the House of Commons to conduct an
internal review of any decision regarding your request.  Complaints or
requests for internal review should be addressed to: Information Rights
and Information Security Service, Research & Information Team, House of
Commons, London SW1A 0AA or [4][House of Commons request email].  Please ensure
that you specify the full reasons for your complaint or internal review
along with any arguments or points that you wish to make.

If you remain dissatisfied, you may appeal to the Information Commissioner
at Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF,
[5]www.ico.gov.uk.

Yours sincerely,
