Dear Transport for London,
I wish to request the following information under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 'The Act'.
In order to assist you with this request, I am outlining my query as specifically as possible. As you will understand, this may not be a definitive list of relevant information.
You should also be aware that it is a requirement of the act to respond within 20 working days.
You maybe aware the act provides a duty on yourselves to assist requesters.
Please provide me the following:
1. A copy of the manual document for the MOVie handheld readers.
2. A breakdown or copy of what the various abbreviations mean
2.1 Discount codes e.g. NR, CD, PR, PV, T/C etc
2.2 Capping codes e.g. CD etc
2.3 Journey Details (which are shown at the bottom right of the journey history) e.g. OEPOPN etc.
2.4 Any other abbreviations used on the handheld reader.
3. Please provide a copy of *ALL* stations and the abbreviations used for those stations e.g. KX M, TCR, STP M, OXO, VIC, PADD, PAD FGW, etc.
4. How often are the MOVie handheld devices software updated
5. How long is the battery expected to last before it is not of suitable quality. E.g. Best Before....

about MOVie readers.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that
we do hold the information you require.
Please find attached a copy of the MOVie Operators Guide. The information
requested in questions 2 and 3 is contained within this guide.
With regard to your further questions, the software for these devices is
updated when considered necessary; there is no standard timescale for
updates.
The battery is expected to last approximately 4 years.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable
to access it for some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
