Motorcycling parking for Oasis Leisure Center

Paul Faisant made this Freedom of Information request to Camden Borough Council This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Camden Borough Council,

The motorcycle bay which was very busy on Edell st (WC2H 9AG) has its size divided by two to make space for a new bicycle marking. Since there are no other parking at reasonable walking distance and the closest ones are also very busy in normal times we can't go to the Oasis Leisure Center using a motorcycle. I have a few questions:

1. What is the purpose of this bicycle marking?
2. Why was it important enough to remove half of the bay?
3. There are still a lot of unused space, why is it not used to extend the bay?
4. Was there a plan to add more spaces elsewhere, maybe a new bay? Or was the number of parking places reduced on purpose?
5. Could you please send supporting documentation on the project?
6. What can we do if we are a group of people asking to get more parking places for motorcycles?

Yours faithfully,
Paul
