Dear Public Health Scotland,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Public Health Scotland's handling of my FOI request 'Most recent figures on deaths within 28 days of receiving a vaccine for Covid 19 in Scotland.'.
I understand my request was denied as the information requested will be published within a 12-week period, however, there is no mention of when and where this information will be published. Could this be confirmed in order that I can establish whether or not to pursue this matter?
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/m...
Yours faithfully,
Mark McKee
Dear Mark McKee,
Thank you for your email of 24 May.
I can confirm that the information will be published between now and 22nd
June 2021. This will be published in our COVID-19 Statistical Report
which can be accessed via
[1]https://beta.isdscotland.org/find-public...
I can also advise that PHS is currently dealing with 21 current live cases
to which we have applied the same exemption as in your case. It is because
of the number of such cases that we have decided to make a routine,
periodic, publication of this information to the public following
the forthcoming initial release, rather than to individual FOI requests.
We hope this will be of greater use to the public in future.
You asked that we confirm the location and date below to enable you to
establish whether or not to pursue this matter. I would be grateful if you
could confirm whether or not you wish us to proceed with an internal
review of this case.
We hope this has been helpful at this stage.
Regards

Yours sincerely,

This information is not being published in the weekly reports as suggested. PHS stopped publishing these numbers on the 23rd June and therefore the numbers are not current.

Apologies, yes, the latest data does appear to be that reported on 23 June, for the period to 11 June.
The proactive publication does not appear to have lasted long.
