Dear Mr Pont,

Thank you for your Freedom of Information Act request, received on April
6th 2012.  Your request was:
I would like information on how many Churches in Sheffield has been
replaced by Mosques.
Colleagues in the Planning Department have advised that information
regarding religious denomination is not logged on planning applications.
Religious buildings are all logged under the same usage class, regardless
of which religion they are used for, so it is therefore not possible to
determine how many Churches have been replaced by Mosques.
I trust that this answers your query.

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your
request and wish to make a complaint, you should write to Mrs Susan
Millington, Head of Strategy, Floor 4 Howden House, Union Street,
Sheffield S1 2SH.
If you are not content with the outcome of your complaint, you may apply
directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally, the
Commissioner cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted our
complaints procedure. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at:
The Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane,
Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.
Yours sincerely,
Beth Barker

Dear Barker Beth (CEX),

How hard can it be to tell me what plots of lands was previously
churches?

And then tell me what Mosques have then bought out that land from
the Council, where they will have to requested planning permission.

Why are you denying me this information? By doing this you have
broken the law and should be prosecuted unless you provide me with
the information that I have requested in this letter.

Yours sincerely,

Jordan Pont
