Mortality statistics 2017-2019 of those found fit for work within 6 months of death

We're waiting for A. Derwent to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

I would like information about the numbers of people who died within 6 months of an ESA fit for work decision between April 2017 and March 2019.

Can you break these mortality statistics down into
**those who were found fit for work after an initial assessment and
**those who were found fit for work after a repeat assessment.

I would also like the numbers for people who died within 6 months of being placed in the ESA Work Related Activity Group; again split into initial assessment and repeat assessment.
How many of those within the WRAG were transferred from the support group to the WRAG?

I would also like the numbers of people who died while waiting for a work capability assessment ( the assessment phase) and the numbers of people who have died while waiting for an appeal or an appeal decision. For the latter (appeal decision) can you provide the numbers of those who have died between 2008 and 2019 while waiting for an appeal hearing or results of a hearing, please include mandatory consideration within these figures. If you could present these figures separately headed as death waiting for a tribunal appeal, death awaiting the results of a tribunal appeal and death waiting for a mandatory consideration too, I'd be grateful.

If you require any clarification on my request please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours faithfully,

Alice Derwent
