Dear Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Monthly trash screen inspections Smethwick Hall Park Londonderry Lane (site 24)'.

There has been no response to this request and despite a follow up email it is nearly a month overdue. I will give you a further week and then make a complaint to the ICO, noting that this is one of many failed requests from SMBC have been dealt with in the timescale under law. I am sure that the ICO monitors authorities which fail to respond to FOI requests under the guidance of the law.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/m...

Yours faithfully,

Mr Carroll

Incredible. Absolutely no explanation whatsoever as to the delay in answering this request or failing to conduct an internal review, and only responding now after contacting the ICO.

As confirmed in the limited information received in this request, it is apparent that the council were aware of bird deaths at this site in August 2018.
The request below to the APHA shows the results of these submissions.

Cleary, the raw sewage pollution in this pool as a source for the production of and associated botulism deaths were going on for a long time.
