Monitoring of hgv traffic on Adversane Lane (B2133)

West Sussex County Council did not have the information requested.

Dear West Sussex County Council,
I am making these requests under the Freedom of Information Act.

Please provide details of any monitoring of HGV traffic that the Highways Department (or any other Council body) has carried out in Adversane Lane (B2133) since oil drilling started at the site known as Broadford Bridge at Wood Barn Farm.

I am particularly interested in any comparisons of data before and after the drilling started.

If no monitoring is being carried out, I would like to know the reason for that decision.

Yours sincerely

Pennie Turrell

Dear Ms Turrell,

Thank you for your enquiry, which has been forwarded to the appropriate
officers for a response. The usual timescale for a response is twenty
working days, that is by or on 03.10.17.

If for any reason the Council needs to extend this timescale you will be
notified in accordance with the relevant legislation.

principle that FoI and EIR requests to West Sussex County Council and the
Council's responses may be published on the Council's website in a
suitably anonymised form. This is in addition to the individual response
to the requestor, and in line with the Council's commitment to
transparency and open data.

Yours sincerely,

Helen Thompson.

Dear Mrs Turrell

with under the Freedom of Information Act

You request related to Monitoring of HGV traffic on Adversane Lane (B2133)

We have now completed a search for the information which you requested and
confirm that this Authority holds some data relevant to your request.

I am now able to respond to you with the following:

There have not been any comparisons of data before or after drilling.

No monitoring of HGV numbers has been carried out along Adversane Lane
(B2133) in relation to the oil site at Broadford Bridge.  This is because
there is no requirement for the Council to monitor HGVs along Adversane
Lane (B2133).
