Money spent on supply teachers for each individual school in district

We're waiting for Holly Giles to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Manchester City Council,

I am interested in the amounts paid by each school in your LEA to third parties in relation to temporary staffing cover. This would include both short and long term cover. My hope is to receive an electronic breakdown of amounts paid through the department's purchase ledger by school.

The information I require for each school is:

Name of school, Supplier name and total amount paid.

I would like the information to cover the Financial year 2021-2022. If this is not possible please send the most recent figures that you have.

Yours faithfully,

Holly Giles

Refusal - information not held by the Council
The information you have requested is not held by Manchester City Council.
Schools carry out the recruitment and appointment of their own temporary
staff.  Please see the link for contact
details: https://www.manchester.gov.uk/directory/...
only information the Council holds is in the form of Consistent Financial
Reports (CFR) returns which schools submit to the authority as part of
their year-end closedown pack.

The Department of Education publishes the Consistent Financial Reporting
(CFR) document at the end of December/January every year which covers the
financial year. The information is published by fiscal/financial year
(April to March) not academic year.

The data published is about the schools’ income and expenditure which is
used to support benchmarking and enables comparative reports to be
produced for governors and local authorities (LAs).
We can provide the following information:

See attached - Total spend per Manchester maintained schools relating to
supply and agency staff for the financial year 2021-2022
