Money spent on publicity and PR

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner,

I would like to request the following information:

1) How many staff are employed for Media relations, PR, Social Media, advertising or any similar job description, whereby they are not front line facing and perform a back office role associated with the self publication of the Sussex Police and championing itself?

2) How many of these staff are full time?

3) What is the salary commitment for these staff in total?

4) What is the uplift since 2015 in these numbers and payroll cost difference?

Yours faithfully,

Tom Johnson

The Office of the Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner, Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner

Dear Mr Johnson

Thank you for your email to the Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner, Katy
Bourne, who has asked me to respond on her behalf.

Please can I ask you to provide me with some further clarification
regarding the information you have requested.

Are you able to confirm whether you are requesting information in respect
of the money spent by Sussex Police or the Office of the Sussex Police &
Crime Commissioner (OSPCC) in respect of publicity and public relations.
My reason for asking this question is that both are separate organisations
in their own right and information will only be held by each, accordingly.

If your request relates to Sussex Police, it would be more appropriately
addressed to the Force and should be resubmitted by email to:
[1][email address]. If your request relates to the OSPCC, then I
will be happy to process this under the terms of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000.

Any clarification you can provide would be gratefully received.

Many thanks and kind regards

Graham Kane

Dear Graham Kane,

My request relates to Sussex Police, however since they have not answered this request for several months in breach of the DPA I am asking the employer of these staff who is Katie Bourne, in hope that this politicians office will be somewhat faster in providing the information.

Yours sincerely,

Tom Johnson

Dear Mr Johnson

Thank you for your reply email.

I have made contact with the Information Access Team within Sussex Police
about your outstanding request for information. Unfortunately, whilst the
Force can locate the other requests received from yourself this year, I am
reliably informed that they are unable to locate any request specifically
about the “Money spent on publicity and PR”.

As per my email below, this information is not held by the OSPCC, under
Section 1(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. However, I can
confirm that your request for information has now been transferred to
Sussex Police and is currently being processed under the terms of the Act.
A response will be provided to you within the statutory timescale of 20
working days from receipt of your request as defined by the Act, subject
to the information being both available and not being exempt.

I would be grateful if you could please let me know when you receive a
response to your request from Sussex Police.

Many thanks and kind regards
