Money spent on flood defences across Kings Lynn and West Norfolk

King's Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council did not have the information requested.

Dear Kings Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council,

I would like to know how much has been spent on flood defences over the last 5 years. In addition, I would also like to find out how much the council has spent repairing flood damages.

Yours faithfully,

Andrea Swan

Dave Robson,

Dear Andrea

Thank you for your email.

The Borough Council is responsible for local sea defences at Hunstanton.
We can provide the details you have requested.

Other parts of “flood defence” are carried out by the Environment Agency
and local land owners. Also the issue of surface water flooding is dealt
with by the Lead Local Authority, Norfolk County Council.

Many parts of the Borough are come under the control of Internal Drainage
Boards which deal with flood prevention.

Can you confirm that you require only the costing for Hunstanton sea
defences.

Regards

Dave Robson
