Money spent on flood defences across Great Yarmouth

Dear Great Yarmouth Borough Council,

I would like to know how much has been spent on flood defences over the last 5 years. In addition, I would also like to find out how much the council has spent repairing flood damages.

Your request for information has now been considered and the information requested is enclosed.

The Environment Agency is the body that has the responsibility for managing flood protection and Norfolk County Council is the Lead Local Flood Authority for managing surface water flooding. GYBC has responsibility for some of the land drainage dykes mainly on our land, other dykes come under IDB's or private ownership. As such, in order to answer this FOI it may be better to redirect this request to those authorities.
