Dear University College London,

Sorry for bothering again. May I correct the use of the word "BSc. Statistics" in the previous email? What I mean here is that the data range should include all the undergraduate degrees under Department of Statistics, not just BSc. Statistics.

Yours faithfully,
Celina G

Dear Celina

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request of 10 August. Apologies
for the delay in responding to your request.

We have completed the compilation of information for module
results/grades/statistics for all year1,2,3 BSc. Statistics in the
academic year 19/20, 20/21, 21/22. If possible, the 25th, 50th, 75th, 90th
and 100th(max) percentile scores for the modules below:

Year1: STAT0002, STAT0003, STAT0004, MATH0045, MATH0046, MATH0048,
COMP0015.

Year2: STAT0005, STAT0006, STAT0007, STAT0023, STAT0024, STAT0025,
MATH0047, MATH0051, MATH0058.

Year3: STAT0008, STAT0009, STAT0010, STAT0011, STAT0013, STAT0014,
STAT0017, STAT0018, STAT0019, STAT0020, STAT0035, MATH0050.

We can confirm that we do hold information of the description specified in
your request and this information is provided in the document attached.

As you will see within the attached spreadsheet, where the number of
students that obtained the max score is 5 or fewer (indicated by the
symbol ≤5) and where the percentiles are based on a data set of 22 or
fewer total students (indicated by the symbol ≤22], the information has
been withheld because, with such low numbers even providing this
information on an anonymised basis, it may be possible to identify the
individuals, which would make this personal data of third parties or, if
linked with other personal identifiers in the public domain, would be
likely to become personal data. This information has been withheld under
Section 40(2) of the FOIA by virtue of Section 40(3A)(i).

Section 40(2) of the FOIA allows a public authority to withhold
information under the FOIA where (i) the requested information is personal
data relating to someone other than the requester and (ii) its disclosure
would breach any of the Data Protection principles. In this case, we
believe that the requested information could relate to and identify
individuals and therefore would be personal data. The disclosure of these
personal data would not be within the reasonable expectations of the
individuals concerned and it would be unfair to do so; this therefore
breaches the first Data Protection principle.

As the Section 40(2) exemption is an absolute one, there is no need to
conduct a public interest test.

example by publishing or issuing copies to the public, will require the
permission of the copyright owner.

If you are unhappy with our response to your request and wish to make a

Review’ in the subject and be marked For the Attention of the

apply directly to the Information Commissioner at the address given below.
You should do this within two months of our final decision.
