Dear East Sussex County Council

Thank you for your reply, informing me that there is no Model Terms of
Reference for an IEB. However, in the minutes of the meeting of PCS IEB on
21st January 2016, the Terms of Reference were used and amended for
Peacehaven Community School:

"Meeting of Peacehaven Community School ' Interim Executive Board
Held on Thursday 21st January 2016, Room S6J, County Hall, Lewes"

"5. Terms of Reference
A copy of ESCC model Terms of Reference (TOR) were circulated with the
agenda.
5.1 Agree Terms of Reference
5.1.1 The TOR were reviewed ' The following amendments were agreed:
 Remove 2nd paragraph.
 3
rd paragraph to read: In particular, the IEB, in order to safeguard the
long term future of the school and to ensure strong leadership and
governance will actively pursue sponsored academy status for the
school. Bullet points to be removed.
 Date of approval of IEB and school name to be added 5th paragraph.
 Membership and roles of the IEB to be added where required.
Action: Jo to make amendments for approval to next meeting for approval."

I therefore think the Model Terms of Reference used in this meeting must
exist. If it is easier, please could you provide the amended Model Terms
of Reference that was discussed in this meeting. As the IEB is still
active, I expect that their Terms of Reference are still in place and so
must be available.
