The request was successful.

Dear Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership,

I would like to request answers to the following under the freedom of information act:

What type of speed detection equipment is currently in use within your mobile speed detection vehicles?

Please specify make, model and detection method i.e laser.

Does this equipment record on video all passing traffic or are images only captured when an offence is detected?

If continually recording, is there a weeding policy for the removal of images not connected with any offences and if not, what is the retention period?

Yours faithfully,

Mr J. Haywood

Steven Batchelor, Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership

Kustom Laser Witness Lite

Pro laser 3

Does this equipment record on video all passing traffic or are images only
captured when an offence is detected?

The equipment is capable of automatic recording when the operator has
formed the opinion of a vehicle exceeding the relevant speed limit and has
then aimed the equipment at the vehicle or when the operator wishes to
record an incident he is able to commence the recording manually. It is
not used to record all passing traffic.

If continually recording, is there a weeding policy for the removal of
images not connected with any offences and if not, what is the retention
period?

All recordings and images are removed after a period of 3 years from date
of offence.
