• Please could you let me know what your current policy is on the use of mobile phones (by patients and staff).

• If not answered above, are there areas where mobile phones are completely banned and are there areas where the use of mobile phones is freely permitted?

• Do you have a specific policy on the use of camera phones (where there is a risk of deliberate or inadvertent pictures of patients being taken and possibly made public)?

The policy deals with the procurement and purchasing of trust mobile phones for staff. It does not answer the questions above in relation to service users nor does it address the use of mobile phones in care areas.

I note that you have a patient phone policy also, but this does not deal with the specific questions above.
