HM Chief Inspector of Prisons for Scotland

Dear Terry,

Thank you for your request for information under the Freedom of Information Act.

My organisation is located in a Scottish Government (SG) building, the staff are assigned from the SG and we are fully funded by them. Therefore all telephony is provided through the contracts they have with suppliers. I have provided what information I can, but you may find it more helpful to approach them directly. I have answered your questions in turn:

Telephony system
1. The MITEL solution is now the standard service offering being used in the wider SG and its Agencies. This provides several benefits: VOIP technology using the SCOTS network infrastructure Ability to logon to any telephone in a SCOTS community building.
2. We currently have 12 users in HMIPS.
3. I don't have this information. You would need to contact SG direct.
4. It is a VOIP system.
5. It will be someone in SG, but I don't have this information.
6. It is paid centrally therefore I don't have this information.

Mobile phone contracts
1. Vodaphone
2. 10
3. It varies depending on when the contract was taken out.
4. 24 months.
5. It will be someone in SG, but I don't have this information.
6. It is paid centrally therefore I don't have this information

Kind regards
