Mitigation of risk due to LTN and road restrictions.
Dear Lambeth Borough Council,
Please advise on the results of the risk assessments, regarding prompt effective access to emergency services, due to the planned traffic restrictions in Streatham Wells area. Imposing LTN will deflect traffic onto peripheral roads, and cause chaos and traffic congestion. This congestion will restrict residents access to emergency services and may well end up costing people lives.
Ambulance, fire brigade and police services will be delayed in achieving their performance targets for attending events.
What is the outcome from the assessment of risk and what mitigations have been put in place, as part of these planned restrictions on traffic?
Please advise
Yours faithfully,
Alan Glen
