Missed IB Diploma Offers for G100 Mathematics

Bob Dylan made this Freedom of Information request to University of Warwick Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

The request was successful.

Dear University of Warwick,

I would please like to request the following information:

1) Number of International Baccalaureate candidates who missed their offer for G100 or G103 Mathematics (BSc/MMath) in the 21/22 and 22/23 admissions cycle due to insufficient overall points / insufficient HL scores excluding mathematics.

2) Number of the aforementioned candidates who were accepted onto the course in the 21/22 and 22/23 admissions cycles despite this (point 1).

3) For those accepted in the 21/22 and 22/23 admissions cycles the discrepancy between the overall points needed for the standard offer (39 points) and points attained. A numerical value would suffice. For example, '1' if the candidate's offer was 39 and they attained 38.

4) Number of International Baccalaureate candidates who missed their offer for G100 or G103 Mathematics (BSc/MMath) in the 21/22 and 22/23 admissions cycle due to an insufficient score in HL Mathematics.

5) Number of the aforementioned candidates who were accepted onto the course in the 21/22 and 22/23 admissions cycles despite this (point 4).

6) For those accepted in the 21/22 and 22/23 admissions cycles the discrepancy between the HL mathematics score needed (standard is 6/7) and the score attained. This can be done similarly to point 3.

If retrieving data for both cycles proves to take too much time please only provide data for the 22/23 cycle. If a candidate missed their offer due to both please place them under missing their offer due to HL mathematics (in list stated in point 4) and exclude them from those who missed it due to overall points / HL requirements (in list stated in point 1).

Thank you for your time.

Yours faithfully,
Bob Dylan
