Thank you for your below request for information received by the authority
on 12 November 2024. I can confirm that North Northamptonshire Council
holds the information requested. Please see the service response as

Since the 2022 financial year how many cases of misconduct have there been
by trade union reps?

Nil

What is your policy in dealing with misconduct by trade union reps?

For information, please find attached a copy of our disciplinary policy &
procedure. In the case of Trade Union Reps, please see as follows:  Where
formal disciplinary action is being considered against an employee who is an
official representative of a recognised trade union the normal disciplinary
procedure should be followed. However, the matter should be discussed at an
early stage with a full time official as nominated by the relevant trade
union, after gaining the employee’s agreement to discuss the matter
Is the data you are supplying for all misconduct cases or those which are
formerly recorded?

we have handled your enquiry or you are unhappy with the response
provided, you have the right to request an internal review. 

Please note a request for an internal review should be submitted no later
than 40 working days from the date of receipt of this response.  The
Council is not obliged to accept a request for an internal review beyond
this timeframe.  A full response to your request for a review will be
provided within 20 working days.

the right to appeal to the Information Commissioner (ICO).  It is
recommended that you contact them no later 3 months from the date of our
