Mis-use of Energy Saving Trust Logo

W. Williams made this Freedom of Information request to Energy Saving Trust
This authority is not subject to FOI law, so is not legally obliged to respond (details).
This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was refused by Energy Saving Trust.

Dear Energy Saving Trust (EST),

I am making a request for all the information to which I am
entitled to under the Freedom of Information Act.

I am a victim of a company using the Energy Saving Trust (EST) logo illegally,

1. What procedure/guide lines do the Energy Saving Trust follow when a victim contacts the EST, with evidence regarding the misuse of EST logo?

2. What action does the EST take if a victim contacts the EST again, with further evidence of the company continuing to misuse the EST logo? (The company MD acknowledged in the first instance, he should not have been using the logo, but continued to do so on the company new letter headed paper work.)

3. What action does the EST take against a company, when the MD of a company invents a non-existent accreditation, "I've just become an Installer Member to the EST"?

I understand that under the FOI Act, I should be entitled to a response within 20 working days. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Please note that your full reply to the above questions should sent by e-mail to the return address shown in the heading to this message. This is because both the request and its response are published for public scrutiny on the web site through which this request has been made.

Yours faithfully,

W. Williams
