Dear Harshit

Thank you for your email dated 15 October about the school census. You
wrote:

“I am looking for information regarding the names of MIS suppliers to the
schools, for the years 2013-2019.

It would be really helpful, if you could provide the dataset in an excel
with the following columns:

1. URN

2. LA Code

3. School Name

4. MIS Used

5. Number of pupils on roll

Kindly, provide the information at your earliest convenience.”

I have dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

There are seven Excel spreadsheets containing the majority of the
requested information enclosed. The data comes from the relevant school
census data collections from the start of the 2013 to 2014 academic year
to date, with each term shown on a separate tab.

The spreadsheets contain the URN, local authority number, establishment
(school) number, school name, software supplier code and the number of
pupils in each school. It is not possible to provide the software supplier
name as this information is not held. However, the included software
supplier code contains the software supplier name in the majority of
cases.

URN has been provided for the majority of establishments, where the local
authority number and establishment (school) numbers could be matched to
data on the Get Information About Schools (GIAS) service

If you are unhappy with the way your request has been handled, you should
