the mis-fuelling of motor vehicles. This request will be dealt with under

party. In some circumstances Avon and Somerset Constabulary may be unable

Dear Mr Panchaud

I write in connection with your request for information dated 15^th
September concerning the mis-fuelling of motor vehicles.

Specifically you asked:

Q1. Please provide the number of diesel vehicles currently operated by the
Police department and the number of occasions any of these vehicles has
been misfilled with petrol requiring

unscheduled servicing during each of the last two years.

Q2. Please provide the total direct cost associated with the mis-fuelling
events.

Q3. If the motor vehicles are owned/maintained by a leasing company please
provide the name of the leasing company.

Your request for information has now been considered and the information
asked for is below.

Q1. Avon and Somerset Constabulary currently have 1056 diesel vehicles
operating within their fleet. Records in respect of misfueling are only
held for this current financial year and I can

confirm that since April there have been 5 misfuel incidents.

Q2. The direct cost this year is £925.22

Q3. All vehicles are owned by Avon and Somerset Constabulary.
